Notes:July 2013 – Tim Hills: The Gentleman’s Magazine of 1824 noted ‘several yew-trees in the churchyard’. This fine looking tree would almost certainly have been one of these. It can be seen from the churchyard, or from the road below. It appeared solid and its girth was probably between 14′ and 16′.
