Notes:September 1998 – Tim Hills: Middle of the 3 yews and largest. Of solid appearance but with hollow spaces. Girths recorded were 22′ 9” (693cm) at 1′, 24′ 6″ (747cm) at 3′ and 24′ 0” (732cm) at 5′.
1999 – Russell Cleaver: Clean bole, almost entire, (7.37m at 1.1m).
2009 – Owen Johnson: Hollow spaces in clean short bole. 700cm at 0-0.4m.
2011 – Peter Norton: A large basal cavity on the north side of the tree through which a single internal stem can be seen. Five nails have been embedded in the tree at varying heights. Girth of 23′ 1” (704cm) at about 1′ recorded.
