1829: Felton wrote of ‘noted yew-trees’ in the churchyard.
September 2011 – Tim Hills: Only one remains, growing in a large space SE of the church in the old part of the churchyard. The dead section on the south side indicates that the tree has been larger girthed.
With a girth of under 4m the tree has previously been classified as notable. Because it displays veteran characteristics it is now classified as V-con (veteran on account of its condition).
