Notes:

Of the 4 trees, two appear dead. The pictures speak for themselves.
(1) Ancient Tree Inventory 97755. Girth of 375cm at the base. Found at NT82024137 – alive.
(2) Ancient Tree Inventory 97754. Girth of 210cm at 50cm. Found at NT82024135 – alive.
(3) Ancient tree Inventory 97753. Girth of 310cm at the ground. Found at NT82014135 – dead.
(4) No Ancient Tree Inventory number. Girth of 330 cm at the ground. Found at NT82014135 – dead.
There is also a record of a yew described in the 1838 Arboretum and Fruticetum as ’30 years planted, it is 17 ft. high, the diameter of the head 26 ft’. Several small terraces lead from the house to the River Leet; on one of these are the remains of a Victorian roserie near the Bower, under an enormous yew. There has been no recent report of this tree.
