Tree sex: male

Notes:

March 2003 – Tim Hills: This unusual yew merits further study and was once larger girthed. Structures which appear to be internal growth from the original tree now grow at the edge of the present tree and feed into its main growth. Old bits of dead branches poke through the new wood all around the tree. Girth was 12′ 9” (389cm) at 3′.
With a girth of under 4m the tree is presently classified as notable. Because it displays veteran characteristics it will in the future be classified as V-con (veteran on account of its condition).
