1846: Hutchison described a ‘fine old yew’ with a girth of 10′ 7” at 5′ from the ground.
September 2007: The yew has been remeasured at 5′ and its girth of 14′ includes small branches. At its narrowest point, about 2′ from the ground it girths 12′ 2”.
