Yews recorded: Notable

Tree girth: No data

Girth height: not measured

Tree sex: unspecified

Date of visit: 10-May-06

Notes:

Nine yews were recorded in the area close to the castle and moat. The three included here are (1) growing in the wall close to the drawbridge (2) growing inside the inner bailey with a large number of its branches arching across the path and falling to the water in the lake (3) growing next to (2) – I consider this to be a twin trunked yew.
