Notes:

1983 – Reg Wheeler: Girth of 17′ 0” (518cm) at 1′ 6”.
April 2000 – Tim Hills: I recorded a girth of 17′ 8” (538cm) between 1′ and 2′. The leaning yew is not centrally placed within the circular wall, an indication of the size of the original tree.
2009 – closer examination reveals pieces of the original trunk poking through the soil and provide the evidence that this yew is almost certainly the large tree described in 1833.
