Notes:

This yew has been hidden for many years behind untreated ivy, perhaps accounting for its lack of inclusion in past documentation. Removal of this in stages has allowed the tree to show some of its features. Girth around what remains is little over 12′, but there is much evidence in the form of dead sapwood to show that the tree has been considerably larger. This will eventually disappear leaving a tree with an elongated bole. Only evidence such as this will confirm it to have developed from what was once a large old yew.
