Notes:

September 2015 – Paul Wood: Two yews, a male/female pair probably of the same age, grow either side of the path at the eastern entrance to the churchyard.
The female – photo 1 – had a girth of 11′ 3” (3.43m) at its narrowest point at the ground. It is gnarly and twiggy and was bursting with arils, a magnet for the local bird population.
The male – photo 2 – is slightly larger in girth at 12′ 3” (3.73m). It has a solid bole to a height of four feet. Above this many branches explode in all directions. There was a light covering of ivy on the south side of the tree.
