Notes:

1998/2012 – Tim Hills: Tree 3 on plan grows SW of the church. It is hollowed out on one side with much internal growth. This has probably been a larger girthed tree. The gravestones seem to be a permanent feature. In 1998 a girth of 17′ 4” (528cm) was recorded at both 3′ and 5′. In 2012 girths of 17′ 6” (533cm) at 5′ and 17′ 8” (538cm) at 3′ were recorded. June 2016 – Paul Wood: Gravestones have become embedded in the trunk of this yew. It is only a matter of time before the tree’s pressure breaks the stones. A collection of internal growth stems have fused together and the hollowing tree now has a single sturdy central stem holding it upright. A girth of 17′ 8” (538cm) at 3′ was recorded.
