Notes:Some nails have been hammered into this yew. Using them as a guide a girth of 11′ 7” was recorded. The yew is hollow with internal growth visible in the gap on the west side. Also taken root inside the tree is a thick stem of ivy, which passes through to the outside of the tree and contains prolific growth which may eventually overwhelm the tree. Branching starts at a height of about 8′ and several of these dip towards the ground. On the south side of the tree is much twiggy growth which will eventually change the open appearance of the tree.
