Llanishen

T.H.Thomas (1880) first noted yews at this location. Both male, they were described as follows: ‘that nearest the church tower is 13′ 6” at 3′ from the grass; the second, and larger one, is 17′ 3” in circumference at the same height’.
In 1936 The Glamorgan County History vol. 1 recorded two yews with girths of 18′ and 13′ 7”.
