Notes:August 1999 – Shortly before the photo was taken this was a fine flourishing yew. I was assured that the stump, which was sprouting in several places, would be left, giving the tree a chance to recover.
2002: When I revisited to record progress it too had been removed.
2009: John Tainton has recorded the young yew planted to take the place of the destroyed ancient tree.
