Notes:

October 2007 – Tim Hills: In 1862 ‘the late Rev.J.Parker, with excellent taste and foresight, planted a thick grove of young yew trees which, it is to be hoped, will be suffered to grow to maturity’. The three yews growing in a line to the west of the church are older than this and it would seem that the grove was not ‘suffered to grow to maturity’.
