Notes:

Several yews are noted in this area:
(1) 400 yards west of Lochend House, or more precisely west of 150 year old Cedar which is 40 yards south of the ruined house. NT 674 779 – West of Kellie Road. Measured 3 feet above base – 13 feet round fluting, around 7 limbs severed. Around 8 foot two slightly lower limbs which have been cut. Circa 40 foot high.
(2) 45 yards west and 15 yards west of an c1850 Atlas Cedar (9ft in circumference). Measured at roughly 3 feet above base. 8 foot in circumference. 4 foot round lower severed limbs.
(3) Circle of yews (near Hallhill House) at NT 673 778 are just within estate boundary wall – a riparian copse of 25?
(4) There are possibly around another 20 yews in around a 10 hectare radius. Some seem strategically/worshipfully located. Photos show tree 1 and tree 2.
