Notes:

The yew has a girth of 12′ 5” (378cm) at 3′ and 11′ 11” at about 1′ – above the roots. By a height of about 5′ the trunk is hidden by twiggy growth. At a height of about 9′ many branches develop, both upwards and slightly angled. There is a gap at the base with a space behind. How extensive hollowing is could not be ascertained. The last photo illustrates one of the problems of measuring trees with flaky bark. This can add inches to its girth.
