July 1999 – Tim Hills: High spiked railings protect this huge and complex tree. Internal growth combines with external to create a structure of great bulk and physical presence.
October 2007 – Ian Robert Brown: Very large hollow tree, but has several sections of the trunk that join up at around 6′. Abundance of internal growth and new wood being laid down on the outer deadwood of the trunk. Branches allowed to reach the ground when not interfering with the church path. Appears in excellent health and well managed.
