Notes:A female yew with many yellow leaves and very flaky bark. Though only small girthed, 11′ 2” at 3′ and 11′ 11½” close to the ground, the side facing the church sounded hollow when tapping the old sapwood. Thin branches from 4′ and upwards spread outwards. Thick branches have been cut from the side of the tree away from the church. There is a large ‘knuckle’ bulge close to the ground on one side. The tree has suffered much cutting but there were plenty of places where it continues to thrive.
