January 2011 – Tim Hills: On the day of my visit the yew could not be properly examined. Construction of a new toilet block only feet from the tree, a steep drop on the south side and a tarpaulin stretched across the ground north of the tree prevented access. Girth was estimated at between 13′ and 15′. It is a many branched tree from a low bole.
March 2015 – Peter Norton: The large yew grows southwest of the church and is shielded from sight by a compost toilet block. The tree overlooks a garden below. Much of its bole was covered in thick stemmed ivy. There is little room to walk around this tree and no measurements could be taken. A smaller yew grows at the southeast corner of the church. It is female with a girth of 11′ 3” at 3′.
