Notes:

2014 Tim Hills: A formidable circular solid trunk, retaining a large girth to a considerable height. Some gaps were found still containing crumbling red heartwood. The spreading of its roots and some swelling for branches at about 12′ add to the presence of this tree. The following girths were taken: 22′ 9½” (695cm) at 3′; 23′ 4” (711cm) at 5′ and 22′ 9” (693cm) at 1m. Girth at 1′ including roots was about 28′.
2012 Han van Meegeren: The lower part of the trunk is impressive to see. The crown is dense and the tree looks in fantastic condition. It forms a beautiful whole with the church and churchyard wall.
Wim Peeters: In the 1864 Memoirs et notes de M.August Le Provost pour servir a l’histoire du departement de l’Eure, the yew was described as having a circumference of 6m 33cm.
