Notes:August 2015 – Paul Wood/Tim Hills: An old sapwood stem is seen on the south side of the tree. It sounded hollow, as if the decaying heartwood had already gone. New wood appears to be gradually enveloping the old stem so that once again the entire circumference of the tree will be of living wood. Girth of 13′ 10” (422cm) at 1′ was recorded over a thin layer of ivy.
