Source of earliest mention: 1995: Clwyd Powys Archaeological Trust
Notes:August 1999 – Tim Hills: The yew grows SE of the church. A hollow shell is still connected in a complete circle at ground level. When a large dead section decays it will leave a horse shoe shape. Girth was 17′ 4” (528cm) at the ground.
2015 – Paul Wood: Measured at the ground we recorded a girth of exactly 18′ (5.49 m). The tree looked as photographed in 2008 except a branch at the back of the tree, looking from the path, has touched the ground and is taking root.
