Notes:1986 – J.Daryll Evans: Girth of 704cm (23′ 1″) at 1m
31st May 1999 – Tim Hills: Girth of 23′ 3″ (709cm) at 3′ recorded. Also 22′ 10” (696cm) at 1′ over some ivy. The male yew has separated into 2 fragment trees, each a mix of live wood and extensive remnants of old growth. On the ground by the tree lay a piece of dead wood about 6m long, fallen from the dead branch rising in the centre of the tree.
2013 – Tim Hills: Girths of between 23′ 9″ (724cm) and 23′ 11″ (729cm) were recorded at 3′, noting the difficulty of reproducing girth accurately at this height. A girth of 22′ 9″ (693cm) at 1′ was also recorded, but this will be reduced in the near future when a small section close to the ground has rotted away.
