Notes:It would not be possible to measure this impressive yew. On one side numerous stout branches reach the ground and support the tree. It would seem likely that this was the yew recorded by Loudon in Arboretum et Fruticetum Britannicum. Here it was described as 188cm girth and 16.5m crown spread in 1835-7, with a planting date in/around 1697.
