Source of earliest mention: 2016: Paul Wood

Notes:

February 2016 – Paul Wood: The yew grows about 10 metres south of the south porch. Because of its proximity to the building its branches have been regularly trimmed. The tree has a short bole of just under 4′ which is covered in twiggy growth almost to ground level. The centre of the tree is rotting away and perhaps in years to come it will be much altered, so that it appears as two smaller trees growing close to each other. A small patch of colourless leaves is seen in the final photograph. This is a rare phenomenon that can also be observed on old yews at Much Marcle, South Hayling and Defynnog. Girth was 16′ 2” (493cm) at 1′. A younger yew also grows here about 10m east of the church.
