April 1988 – Conservation Foundation’s Country Living ‘Yew Tree Campaign’. Andrew Tatchell recorded the yew’s girth as 11′ 7” (353cm) at 3′ and 11′ 11½” (365cm) at 4′. Meredith estimated an age of 330 years and a certificate was sent to the church.
May 2007 – Tim Hills: A fine fluted clean bole. Ivy had been dealt with. Major branches above a height of 8′. Girth 12′ 5” (378cm) at 3′. There are two less distinguished yews on the NW boundary.
2017 – Paul Wood: A tall yew, very green with plentiful foliage. Some branches are being allowed to touch the ground on the south side over the path to form a feature rather like a yew tunnel. Once under the branches you can see where many branches low down have been removed. The tree nonetheless seems full of vitality with only a little dead or white wood visible. Measured at 90 cm as in 2007 I recorded a girth of 13′ 0” (3.96m).
