Yews recorded: Ancient 5m-7m

Tree girth: 577cm

Girth height: undercut base

Tree sex: unspecified

Source of earliest mention: Andrew Morton's Trees of Shropshire

Notes:

October 2007 – Tim Hills: A massive yew with a girth of over 23′ (701cm) at 4′ grows on steeply sloping ground. Girth at its undercut base was 18′ 11” (577cm). It appears to have been reduced in height centuries ago, with considerable bulging at this point. The thick branches around a platform about 7′ up in the tree are probably centuries old.
March 2012: Ancient Tree Hunt 100072 – Girth of 680cm at 10cm recorded by Rob McBride.
