Notes:The short bole of 4’/5′ divides into eight substantial branches, forming a neat circle of growth around a central platform. Owen Johnson, who measured the yew in 2005, considers the tree to be ‘perhaps contemporaneous with the one growing in nearby Upton Castle’.
