July 2007 – Dave Kenny: The trunk is hollowing and it looks older than the girth of 12′ 9” (389cm) at 3′ 3”.
May 30th 2013 – Peter Norton: This male yew grows just southwest of the south porch on a small mound. It has lost some of the outer bole on the north side and more will follow, in time leaving a horseshoe shape. Small internal roots were observed. Some concrete infill can be seen in the two basal cavities on the south side of the bole. Girth was 12′ 10” (391cm) at 2′ 6” as measured from the ground on the west side.
To the southeast of the porch is a female yew with a girth of 8′ 10”.
