February 2000: A fine fluted female yew grows at the SE corner of the church and only a few metres from it. There is almost no growth on its bole for the first 6′, following the removal of large branches. It remains intact to a height of 8’/12′ where it divides into much upright growth. There is one particularly deep fissure in this fluted trunk. At 5′ it measured 12′ 10″ (391cm) in 2000 and 13′ 4½” (408cm) in 2016, an increase of 6½” in 16 years.
