Notes:August 2007 – Tim Hills: A superb specimen with 18′ 6” (564cm) of unimpeded trunk. At the base is a large bulgy section, not included in the 2007 girth measurement. Its large girth is retained for a considerable height.
June 2014 Peter Norton: The female yew grows to the west of the south facing porch. It has a nice fluted bole, but a root bulge on its south east side spoils a perfect form. Measured just above this bulge at a height of about 2′ 6” a girth of 18′ 6” (564cm) was recorded.
2016 – Tim Hills: I repeated the 2007 measurement just above the bulge, and recorded 18′ 8” (569cm).
