October 2011 – Tim Hills: A fine healthy tree carried on numerous thick branches from a height of 8′ and above. On the NE side of the tree many low branches have been removed. It is here that hollowing will develop. Girths of 14′ 8” (447cm) at 1′ and 15′ 5” (470cm) at 3′ recorded.
March 2023 – Peter Norton: A healthy crown. A mass of seeds around the trunk identified it as female. There was evidence of one nail in the trunk (hammered in flush) at around 1ft from the ground. Measured at this height 15′ 4” (467cm) was recorded.
