Notes:

September 2011 – Peter Norton: The yew grows near the lake’s edge to the east of the church. A girth of 16′ 0” (488cm) was recorded at both the root crown and at 18”. Recording was hampered by low spray growth through which the tape was easily threaded. 2016 Tim Hills: I recorded 16′ 2 and a half inches (494cm) at 18”. Although the tree is large girthed, it consists of many stems growing close to each other, rather than a single trunk. It had the appearance of a managed yew, the sort of tree more often associated with country houses or estates.
