Notes:A fine female tree now beginning to push against the nearby wall. Recent sightings of Laetiporus sulphureus suggest that the tree is beginning to hollow. Girth was recorded as the height shown in the 3rd photo. It is thought that the tree would have been planted at the time the present garden was laid out between 1616 and 1620. Its girth suggests that this is quite possible. Girth 12′ 10 and a half inches (393cm) at 2′.
