Notes:Growing only 2m from the main tree, just above the road, is a smaller hollow male At the time of my visit in 2000 the yews were all smothered by ivy, but this had been cleared to enable photos to be taken at later visits. In 2025 it was possible to see a gap complete with internal stem. Measurement was not possible. The tree leans towards the road. It appears to have at some time been truncated at a height of about 20′. One thick branch grows towards the road and there are numerous smaller branches.
