7/8/2000: No part of the bole visible as twiggy growth has been allowed to develop to a height of about 2.50m. These have been trimmed to form a neat hedge around the tree. Rising above this was what appeared from one side to be a thick main stem, but consisted of a series of upright stems growing at the edge of a substantial hollow. It was not possible to get beneath the low growth to measure the tree.
13/7/2018: The yew still hides behind its circular hedge. Girth could only be estimated but it appeared to be above 6m and possibly as large as 7.5m. While it appears to be solid, the nature of the branches suggests otherwise.
