Notes:

In 1890 R. Hutchison recorded four yews at this site, two to the south with girths of about 7′ and 9′, and two to the east with girths of about 14′.
In 2002, Treefest Scotland described that a ‘fine pair of old yews stand in front of Pitmeddan House’. These are thought to have been planted by Sir Alexander Seton in about 1675. The larger of the two was recorded in 2002 as forking into 3 main stems at the ground, and having a diameter of 176cm (18′ 2” girth) at ground level.
In 2016 Charles Henderson recorded a girth of 578cm (19′) at 10cm and a height of 13m. He located the tree at NJ8848728041.
