2009 – Ancient Tree Hunt 43254: The suggestion that the yew predated the church is not borne out by the tree’s girth.
2022 – Daniel Rayleigh: The yew is located approximately 8m. west of the church door. Its minimum girth is 365cm (12′ 0”) at 1m. At the ground 406cm (13′ 4”) was recorded. Some of the inner branches were very bare and some of the needles on the outer branches were brown. There was Laetiporus Sulphureus on the east side of the tree.
