Notes:June 1983 – Allen Meredith: West from the church and also a very large tree measuring 21′ 8” at 3′ from the ground. A very solid looking tree, little evidence of decay inside, and free from ivy, a very nice healthy looking yew, probably not as old as the other tree. Appears to be male, as with the other yew.
1988 – Jean Winn to conservation Foundation: 22′ 1” (673cm) at 3′ and 22′ 11” (698.5cm) at 4′.
March 1999 – Tim Hills: West of the church. A thickly fluted bole of live wood for almost its entire circumference. Its crown appears to have suffered damage and the yew is renewing itself with much vigour. The following girths were recorded: : 21′ 8″ (660cm) at the ground: 21′ 2″ (645cm) at 1′; 22′ 3″ (678cm) at 3′; 23′ 7″ (719cm) at 5′.
2005 – Visited by John Hodges – tree continues to flourish.
