1994: The girth of 23′ 8” (721cm) is found in Chetan and Brueton’s The Sacred Yew.
1999 Tim Hills: Two fragments (though still joined at the ground) slanting at up to 45 degrees. They are supported on thirteen props with chains in the branches preventing further separation. The position and shape of the fragments suggest this was formerly an immense tree.
October 2015 Peter Norton: The yew is an extremely fragmented female growing northeast of the church and can be viewed on Google Maps at 51.046159, 0.218775. Its leaning fragments are supported by seven props, while chains and wire hawsers in the canopy hold these remaining halves in place. A young internal stem was also observed. No measurements were taken.
