Notes:

In 1880 there was recorded a yew which ‘girths 17′ 6″ at 2′ from the ground, and in height surpasses any we have described’. Thomas Henry went on to give a full description of the ‘mere shell, partially alive’. This tree is now lost. The surviving veteran yew grows SE of the church.
