Notes:The tree’s top has been constantly reduced and it is presently little more than 20′ tall. The central core of the tree is huge, certainly 16′ + and possibly up to 20′. The tree has been overrun by ivy in the past and dead pieces could be seen on parts of the trunk. Around the lower edges of the trunk new branches grow upwards from some parts and at right angles from others.
