2018 – Tim Hills: A fine fully crowned tree growing on sloping ground. Ivy had been recently treated so the trunk was visible. The yew, which appears to be solid, bulges considerably where branches have been systematically removed at a height of about 8′. Above this grow several thick rising branches and smaller girthed lateral growth. The tree was measured keeping the tape 1m above the undulating ground and a girth of 6.22m (20′ 5”) was recorded. Using a horizontal tape at 1m above the highest ground gave a girth of 6.37m (20′ 11”).
