Salisbury - Arts Centre

The building extension involved the felling of a 200 year old yew. This was ‘a difficult and emotional decision’. The Art Centre’s director, Jill Low, ‘could see the potential in reclaiming and safeguarding the spirit of the yew tree’ and this led to an exhibition of the work of 40 artists, each given a piece of wood reclaimed from the felled tree.
