Notes:

March 2012 – Lin Carter: The yew is hollow; it has been taken down to head-height, allowed to sprout adventitious growth, then pruned into an immense ball-bush. Inside the hollow are dead internal stems cut to head-height. The original shell of the bole has all gone, but a fresh trunk fused all round the base gives rise to vigorous, clipped adventitious growth.
July 2015 – Peter Norton: These two shaped male yews grow either side of the main entrance to the churchyard. The south tree appeared larger but had three stems while the north tree was single stemmed and much less in girth. It was not possible to measure the trees.
