Notes:2006 – Arthur Chater: ‘Three separate trunks on a slight mound south of the church are presumably the remains of a single tree that would have been at least 780cm (25′ 7”) girth, now healthy and 14m tall’.
September 2005 – Tim Hills: Three separated trunks, well developed fragments from the original tree. In excellent health, though a recent bonfire had been allowed to singe leaves on some of the lower branches. Girth perhaps up to 30′.
