February 2000 – Tim Hills: Smaller of the pair. Its bole is covered in ivy which grows high into the branches and obscures what would otherwise be a fine looking tree. July 2012 – Peter Norton: The yew on the east side of the path is at Google map 51.123738,-2.401634. It has two main leaders, both hollowing, as is the main bole, where much internal growth can be seen. Girth was recorded as 14′ 4” (437cm) at 3′ from the top of the mound and close to where the internal decay is flowing out from the bole. In 2005/6 ivy was removed from the tree.
