Notes:

February 2006 – Tim Hills: A yew that has been larger still. Hollow with a visible internal stem. Gaps have closed by 8′ above which is a great outpouring of branches. Some fire damage noted in hollow. Girth of exactly 16′ (488cm) recorded at 1′.
September 2014 – Peter Norton: The most significant yew grows close to the south porch. It has two basal cavities opposite each other exposing a fine internal stem. The tree has previously been recorded as male, but arils in the canopy and seeds on the ground showed it to be female. Girths of 16′ 2” (493cm) at 1′ and 16′ 5” (500cm) at 2′ were recorded.
October 2016 – Tim Hills: 16′ 8” (508cm) at 1′, though ivy will account for up 2” of this. Girth of the internal stem was also measured as 2′ 10” at 1′.
