Notes:

March 2008 – Edwin Pretty: Seven yews in total in the churchyard. The three largest measured at 3′ are 6′ 10”, 6′ 8” and 6′ 1”.
In the nearby Old Vicarage (now a guest house – SE537020) is a multi-trunked male yew with a girth of 8′ 9” at 3′ and a smaller female yew growing nearby. The Old Vicarage was the childhood home of Sir Douglas Bader.
Seven fine yews, possibly seedlings from the Sprotbrough giant, (see Sprotbrough Hall entry) currently form a brooding backcloth to Sprotbrough Church and range in girth from 3′ 10” to 9′ 0” with a mean of 5′ 10”.
